Camalig Bank Honored at the 2025 Totoo Awards

As Radyo Veritas Albay celebrates 35 years of truth, service, and partnership, Camalig Bank, Inc. was honored with the Veritas Totoong Katuwang Award at the 2025 Totoo Awards.

The recognition was accepted by Jose Misael B. Moraleda, President and CEO of Camalig Bank, at Ayala Malls Cinema in Legazpi City on 5 December 2025. Presenting the award were Reynard Sevillano and Angelica Base of Radyo Veritas.

This award reflects a partnership built on shared values: integrity, responsible communication, and service to the community.

In his acceptance message, Mr. Moraleda revisited his years with ALECO (2004–2006), a period of intense public scrutiny. Before social media filled public dialogue, radio and television were the primary channels for community engagement, and also the loudest sources of criticism.

During those turbulent years, Radyo Veritas stood out as a constant, rooted in fairness and truth, where he could speak openly, clarify issues, and represent the cooperative’s member-consumers with dignity.

“Radyo Veritas stands for truth,” Mr. Moraleda said, emphasizing how essential balanced reporting is, especially when narratives are contested, and public trust is at stake.

 Today, the world is noisier, faster, and more polarized than ever. Truth is harder to find and easier to distort, which is why Camalig Bank remains a partner of Radyo Veritas.

“It is a way for us to give back to institutions that continue to fight for the truth,” Mr. Moraleda shared.
